Ingredients
- 2 clove chicken thighs, skin on and boneless
- 1 pinch salt
- 0.5 tsp black pepper
- 0.5 cup cornstarch
- 3 tbsp butter
- 5 clove garlic, minced
- 2 tbsp soy sauce
- 2 tbsp mirin
- 2 tbsp honey
- 1 cup lemon juice
- 0.5 tbsp lemon zest
- 0.5 tsp paprika
- 0.5 tsp chili flakes
Instrucstions
Season the chicken thigh with salt and pepper. Coat the chicken with cornstarch and shake off excess. Set aside.
In a pan, heat the oil over medium-high heat. Add the chicken skin side down and fry each side for 7 minutes or until golden brown. Set aside.
In a pan, heat the butter over medium heat. Once it is melted, saute the garlic until fragrant for 1 minute.
Add in soy sauce, mirin, honey, lemon juice, lemon zest, paprika, chili flakes and black pepper.
Cook the sauce until it thickens.
Add the chicken back to the pan and baste the chicken with the sauce.
Once it is done, serve with hot steamed rice, garnish with sesame seeds and chives, and enjoy!
