- 2 pinch tofu blocks (panetti)
- 4 cup green beans (fagiolini)
- 2 tbsp flour or cornstarch
- 1 clove garlic clove
- 1 pinch fresh ginger
- 4 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tsp sugar
- 0.5 cup lime or lemon juice
- 1 pinch chili flakes (peperoncino)
- 1 pinch salt
Instrucstions
Clean the green beans and blanch them in boiling salted water for a few minutes until tender-crisp, then drain.
Cut the tofu into cubes and coat them evenly with the flour or cornstarch.
In a large pan or wok, sauté the tofu with a bit of oil until golden and crispy on all sides.
Add the blanched green beans to the pan along with the minced garlic and grated ginger.
Prepare the sauce by mixing the soy sauce, sugar, lime juice, and chili flakes in a small bowl.
Pour the sauce over the tofu and green beans, adding a splash of water if the mixture is too dry.
Toss everything over high heat for a couple of minutes until the sauce thickens and coats the ingredients perfectly.
Serve hot as a main or a flavorful side dish.
